Weed - Historic Lumber Town

If you are traveling the Volcanic Scenic Byway*, Weed is a colorful stop along this 500 mile scenic route. Named after Abner Weed, developer of the town's lumber mill, Weed was once a bustling lumber town. Now it is a quiet city of 3,000 people, home of College of the Siskiyous, the area's leading junior college.

If you are journeying north to Klamath Falls, Weed is the turnoff point from I-5.

Nestled at the foot of Mount Shasta, Weed is surrounded by spectacular natural beauty.
